Extended Delivery Times for Furniture
We know there are many choices when shopping for home furnishings and we appreciate your selecting Belfort Furniture. Our greatest pride is the trust and appreciation of our customers. We want you to be aware of the extended lead times for upholstered and wood furniture — bedrooms, dining rooms, home office and occasional tables.
This past year has been extremely challenging for factories. With customers working remotely, staying safe and comfortable in their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for furniture has outpaced manufacturing capbilities. Factories have been faced with shutdowns, reduced work forces and re-working their facilities to provide a safe work environment for their employees while at the same time, experiencing an unprecedented increase in furniture orders.
In addition, the raw material supply chain became particularly bad when the winter storm in Texas closed foam factories. These factories were not up and running again until May. Foam is a key material used in cushions.
Most recently, countries like Vietnam and Malaysia are completely shut down due to the spread of the virus. Many manufacturers have factories in these countries. All these factors have created manufacturing delays that we have never seen in the industry; some delays can be eight months of longer.
In addition, once the furniture is made, it needs to be delivered to our warehouse. The port congestion along with the extreme shortage of truck drivers are making lead times even longer.
Due to these situations, manufacturers are challenged to provide accurate delivery times. Frequently, information provided to us changes multiple times due to factories being temporarily closed, the ever-evolving supply chain and transportation issues.
We want to assure you that your order is extremely important to us. Our staff is working tirelessly to get the most updated information and we ask for your patience.
If you need furniture by a specific date, please let your salesperson know. New furniture is arriving daily at our warehouse. We have over ten million dollars of furniture in stock, ready for quick delivery. If you have placed a special order we know it will be worth the wait to get exactly the look you love.

Please note, it can take up to 48 hours to receive an update from a manufacturer.
