Terms and Conditions


1.1 A minimum of 33% deposit is required at the time of order entry for all purchases.

1.2 A 100% deposit is required on all COM, table pads, parts, pillows, fabric, mattress pads, etc.

1.3 A 100% deposit is required on floor models and clearance merchandise, unless financing has been approved.

1.4 Please Note: On partial deliveries a deposit on the purchase price of the undelivered items will be held, until back ordered items are delivered.


2.1 Belfort retains a security interest lien in all items until payment in full is received.

2.2 The remaining balance of the total invoiced amount must be paid in full at least two (2) days prior to delivery. You may pay over the phone with a credit card. If you pay by check or cash, you must pay in person at the store at least two (2) days prior to delivery.

2.3 Credit terms shall be at the discretion of Belfort Furniture Inc.

2.4 A returned check fee may be charged to the extent allowable by state law.

2.5 No COD's are accepted.


3.1 Routinely stocked merchandise may be cancelled for a full refund or credit up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled delivery date. This does not apply to floor models and clearance items, which are sold "as-is" and are considered final sales.

3.2 Special Orders, factory ordered merchandise, COM orders, table pads, parts, throw pillows may not be cancelled.

3.3 Merchandise received by the customer via delivery or pickup cannot be cancelled.

3.4 Routinely stocked furniture returned at time of delivery will incur a 25% re-stocking fee and requires manager approval.

3.5 Belfort Furniture reserves the right to cancel any order for any reason at any time.

3.6 Accesosories, in original unused condition, may be returned within 7 (seven) days for a full refund. Excludes special order accessories.

3.7 Due to the special nature of bedding products, these return policies DO NOT APPLY to bedding purchases. No cancellations on mattresses, pillows, protectors, etc. Comfort guarantees do not apply.

3.8 Protection Plans are not refundable after merchandise has been delivered or picked up from the warehouse.


4.1 All authorized refunds of payments made by credit card will be credited to the originally charged credit card account within 5 (five) business days.

4.2 All authorized refunds of payments by cash or check will be issued by check from Belfort Furniture's accounting office within 10 (ten) business days.


5.1 Belfort Furniture supports all manufacturer warranties subject to the following terms. Warranty service will be performed for one year from date of original receipt of merchandise by Belfort on a "No Service charge" basis.

5.2 Depending on type of repair required, service may be performed in your home, at our warehouse or at the manufacturer's factory. Belfort reserves the right to inspect merchandise in your home.

5.3 Belfort may repair, replace or refund your purchase at our discre-tion. Delivery personnel, service technicians and salespersons may not authorize any warranty service. Belfort Furniture, Corporate Office, will make all warranty service decisions.

5.4 Color and grain variations in wood, leather, stone and marble can-not be construed as defects. Additionally, the inherent characteristics of fine wood affect how they absorb stains. As a result, Belfort Furniture cannot ensure the exact match of related pieces.

5.5 All merchandise is sold for residential use only. Warranty terms do not apply to commercial use.

5.6 To the greatest extent permitted by law, all warranties expressed or implied, that exceed these terms and conditions are waived.


6.1 Please inspect your merchandise carefully. We are not responsible for any item picked up by you or your agent once it has left the show-room or warehouse.

6.2 Warehouse and store personnel can only assist in loading; the cus-tomer is responsible for securing the merchandise.

6.3 Some assembly may be required.


7.1 Professional delivery is available for a minimal charge.

7.2 Customer is responsible for verifying building access and ensuring furniture will fit through doorways, stairways and elevators. If a deliv-ery attempt is made and the furniture does not fit, the delivery fee will be charged to your account and Belfort will apply the cancellation pol-icy to the order. Special order merchandise cannot be cancelled. A third party technician can provide a service to disassemble and reassemble the items to fit into the appropriate room at an additional charge.

7.3 Belfort reserves the right to require you to sign a delivery waiver if we believe that delivering your furniture may damage either the fur-niture or your home. Refusal to sign the waiver, when required, will be considered a ‘no-fit' and the order may be subject to our cancella-tion policy.

7.4 Customer is subject to a rescheduling fee, equal to the delivery charge, for deliveries cancelled within 48 hours of scheduled delivery. A rescheduling fee may also be imposed if no one is home to accept a confirmed delivery or accompany the driver into the home.

7.5 Belfort Furniture will make deliveries during inclement weather. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel any and all deliveries at any time to protect the safety of our employees.

7.6 If you are unable to accept delivery of your furniture within 14 days of arrival to our warehouse, the balance must be paid in full. We will hold furniture 30 days, after which each piece held in our ware-house is subject to a storage fee of $1.00 per day.

7.7 Many of Belfort Furniture's transactions are special order or factory ordered product. The estimated delivery date provided to you at the time purchase is based on manufacturers lead times provided to Belfort. As a result, Belfort Furniture cannot be responsible for manu-facturer changes in delivery dates, and as such, Belfort will not offer any compensation for delayed merchandise.

7.8 Belfort Furniture is not responsible for the moving or removal of existing furniture in a customer's home. The area for placement of furniture should be clear and prepared to receive the delivery.

7.9 Due to insurance limitations, drivers are not allowed to assemble cribs, handle televisions, stereos or other electronic devices, nor can they install mirrors, paintings or other items that require fastening to walls.

7.10 Carefully inspect your merchandise at the time of delivery. Damage, defects, or deficiencies must be noted on the Delivery ticket. The driver will contact Belfort Furniture Customer Service to resolve any issues.

7.11 In the unlikely event that our delivery professionals damage your home or property, you must report the damage in writing on the delivery ticket. Belfort will not be held responsible for any damage not reported in writing at the time of delivery.


8.1 Accessories, in original unused condition, may be returned within 7 (seven) days for a full refund.

8.4 Furniture treatments, extended warranties are not refundable after merchandise has been delivered or picked up from the warehouse.

Errors due to calculations or sales associate errors are subject to correction by the Corporate Office. Official price lists will prevail in all disputes. In the event that payment of this order is placed for collection or a lawsuit is instituted to collect some or any portion there of, the customer agrees and promises to pay all costs, including reasonable attorney fees, incurred by Belfort Furniture Inc. in collecting the balance then due and owing. A service charge of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) will be charged on all past due amounts. This agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Exclusive venue is granted to the courts of Loudoun County, VA.
