Tell Us About Your Design Background and What Did You Do Before Design?
I worked at Belfort for 5 years in the early 1990’s. Prior to Belfort, I worked at Wood Market and performed administration work in associations.
What Is Your Design Aesthetic?
My design aesthetic is based off of my clients’ lifestyle. I enjoy working with different upholstery fabrics and colors to bring my clients vision to life.
What Do You Love About Working With Clients and Design Projects?
I love the excitement of finding the right fit and feel for my clients’ home, including helping them with great design selections. I want my clients to always feel comfortable with their choices and that we had a good time! This helps my clients not feel as overwhelmed as they were when first starting the process.
What Do You Want Your Clients To Know About You?
I am patient, caring and I listen.
What Do You Enjoy In Your Free-Time?
I enjoy researching for customers, always looking at ideas in magazines and online, and design programs. I also enjoy spending time with my family! My children and grandchildren are a very important part of my life, as well as my siblings.
Nita's Design Advice: Don’t go with trends, just because it is a trend. If your current palette is what you love, there is no harm in keeping it the same or making things fresh and new. Try A different look, but still within your comfort zone.

Nita Mandell is a truly outstanding furniture sales consultant at Belfort. She understood what style of furniture we like. She put our condo floor plan on the computer, and helped us locate the furniture in the catalog. She worked with us in selecting the furniture and fabric. Consultation with Nita took so much work and stress out of furniture shopping for our condo. We are very pleased.
