Sophisticated Family Room by Stefani Arnold

Stefani's clients were relocating from an older home in Fairfax to a newly constructed home and were looking for a fresh and updated look. Their extended family of all ages also lives with them so their furniture needed to not only be gorgeous and comfortable, but durable too! For the new home’s family room, Stefani found very durable fabrics to mix with leather and created a space that was cozy and comfortable. The clients looked to this space as a place to watch television, enjoy the fireplace, and spend time as a family.

With new chairs and ottoman, the living room was transformed utilizing a sentimental existing end table. This space was the ideal location for an escape, for reading, and perhaps drinking some tea for the homeowners. Stefani did an excellent job of combining the family’s sentimental heirlooms with new pieces that created a warm and welcoming feel.

Since the clients often have more than four people dining, a round pedestal dining table that can extend at a moment's notice to accommodate 6 was the perfect choice. The dark wood complements the cabinets and other pieces throughout the family room. A round rug anchors the eat-in kitchen and protects the beautiful new hardwood floors. Window treatments throughout the home were focused on being beautiful as the new home had no privacy issues.
