I've been in sales with Belfort Furniture for 16 years and a member of the Design Team since 2005. The highlights of my career have been creating beautiful rooms for people to enjoy for many years. There is no challenge too great! I've designed large spaces and very small spaces, all of which posed different challenges. The outcome has always been a design that is easy to live with, and most comfortable for each client.
I enjoy working within a great spectrum of styles, so when I'm asked to design a specific room, I work with my clients to determine the look that best reflects their tastes. For clients who lack direction or a defined plan, I am always ready to offer a variety of options until I can feel them warming up to a particular idea or style. I'm very eclectic in designing. I'm not a fan of rooms that look like they were purchased for a package price. I love to design rooms that reflect a variety of styles and textures. It keeps the room interesting and adds a completely personal touch that reflects the client's lifestyle.
It is always exciting to see the end result of a project and how it has come together for my clients. Hearing their expressions of satisfaction is very gratifying. It's very exciting to be working in an environment that offers the client so many options for such a small investment, but an investment that will bring years of enjoyment.
Design Tip: We all know how hard it is to make a decision on furniture that you'll keep for ten years, not to mention a lifetime. I always remind my clients to make sure your selections fit your lifestyle and not the lifestyle of someone whose opinion you admire or whose advice you always follow. It's good to get pointers and opinions, but in the end it's your lifestyle and your home.
