"We just wanted to thank you all so much for this wonderful experience! The furniture was delivered yesterday and it looks amazing. It's been less than one day and it feels like the furniture fits so well into our rooms and our lifestyle. We LOVE it! The design of the rooms and the furniture Patrick helped us pick out is perfect for us--comfortable, functional, but also very stylish (love the colors) and high-quality. We feel so blessed to have won this makeover, so thanks a million for making this happen! "

The Designer's Comments on the Makeover

This room makeover was once again a really wonderful experience. This year's winners are young and active, so I tried to come up with a design that fit with their lifestyle. I also wanted to incorporate high quality products so they will get many years of enjoyment out of the furniture. I went with more earthy colors on the fabrics — olive green, khaki, beige, cream and some earthy red tones. These colors are easy to live with for a long time without being trendy. There is an accent wall in the living room to help the sofa stand out from the rest of the furniture because it's the focal point when you enter from the foyer. Everything compliments that sofa and the wall color in the living room. The furniture is very comfortable and inviting. The living room is not only their entertainment room, but also their TV room, so it serves both functions very well.

The dining room speaks for itself. It is a very small room with just enough space for a round table and an alcove large enough for the china cabinet to set back in the wall. It turned out to be the biggest challenge, but came out looking fantastic. The leather chairs are comfortable and durable and the table has an extension, so when needed, it can expand to seat more family and friends. The accessories of pottery and greenery fill in the empty spaces to make it feel so warm and comfortable. I think Andrea and Kevin will enjoy their room makeover for many, many years. I want to thank both of them for being so wonderful to work with.
