Makeover Notes
When I met with Tracy Hudgens at her home to discuss her dining room makeover,
I noticed the room was small. Entertaining more than eight people would be
very tight. She mentioned that she had a large extended family and would love
to entertain for the holidays in her dining room. I looked around the house
and noticed that her living room was much larger and had a fire place. What
better atmosphere to entertain in...a larger room with an inviting fire place—ideal,
especially for holiday entertaining.
At my suggestion, we decided to switch the rooms. She
was excited about the new concept and we took it from there.
Her old living room—now the new dining room—features
Bernhardt Martha Stewart furniture. Now she has the space
required to entertain both for sit down dinners or buffet
style as we introduced a much larger buffet than would have
fit in her original dining room. I have to say that I, too,
was so impressed that I did the same thing in my new home.
[Note: the budget for this makeover exceeded the $2500 makeover.
The Hudgens family paid the difference.]
